We arrange weekly student evenings in different cities. Usually these meetings consist of teaching on the Bible or some practical issues in Christian life, discussion, prayer and worship, and time for fellowship over a cup of coffee. Students also meet in small Bible study groups that gather in homes. In many cities there is an English speaking group as well. There are plenty of other kind of activities as well, like camps, sports, outreach, music etc.
Our work is organised as registered associations in university cities. These associations are led by student boards and supported by a staff worker.
IFES Finland works also among youth and in schools. Members of our staff visit schools and lead weekend Bible camps for 9- to 14-year-olds. We are hoping to reestablish prayer and Bible study groups in schools. We also arrange youth meetings in 5 cities.
Fellowship in English
The most important principles in our faith are the Bible and grace:
- The Bible is the highest authority of our faith and life.
- We believe man can connect with God and be saved only by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.
This is love: not that we loved God, but he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:10)
